WHITE CHEDDAR BACON-BROCCOLI LINGUINE PASTA

Instructions:

1.       In a large pot, boil fresh trimmed broccoli for about 3 minutes on high heat. Be careful not to boil to long as it will become soft. Drain well and set aside.

2.    In a large heated pan, cook bacon until slightly crispy, about 6~10 minutes medium heat. Remove excess oil. 

3.    Add in diced bell peppers and broccoli. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on medium heat. Set pan aside.

4.    In a large pot, drizzle about 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add in flour and stir until thick  paste forms. Add in milk and heavy cream. Lightly sprinkle in salt and pepper. Mix well until thickened.

5.    Add in cheeses and continue to mix. Move cheese sauce to a bowl.

6.    In a lightly oiled pot bring water to boil.  Boil linguine pasta for 9 minutes. Drain well. 

7.    Transfer noodles to the bacon-pepper pan. Add in boiled broccoli and mix. 

8.    Pour in cheese sauce. Turn stove off. Top with more cheese if desired and place lid.

9.    Cover for about 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle ground black pepper and serve!
